Walking & Bike Paths
Walking and Bike Paths are practically the same thing here, because you can legally ride your bike on a sidewalk and also safely walk or bike in residential streets.

No bike Racks, but plenty of iron fencing to lock a bike to.
Beach Blvd Sidewalk (on the north side of the highway) runs continuously.
The Beach Boardwalk
This beach-side sidewalk runs non-stop for 26 miles in Harrison County along all the coastal cities. It has very few intersections, except at properties that are south of the highway. Along the boardwalk are occasional rest areas (with benches), occasional stairs down to the beach, and a few public restrooms. Starting in 2025, the Sand Beach Authority will be installing handicapped accessible features also.
GOING EAST towards Downtown Biloxi (2.5mi), and 1.5 miles away, is the Biloxi Lighthouse, Lighthouse Park, the Biloxi Visitor's Center (restrooms/water) open daily 8am to 5pm.
GOING WEST towards Edgewater Mall (4mi), and 1 mile away, is a Beach Rest Area (restrooms/water) and the start of the West Beach Boardwalk.
West Beach Boardwalk
This amazing 1 mile-long boardwalk experience starts just 1 mile west of Seashore Oaks.
These are mostly residential back roads that are perfect for biking and walking. The main east-west busy roads around Seashore Oaks are Irish Hill Drive (near the train tracts) and US90 (aka Beach Blvd, the Beach Highway). In between these main roads are a few back roads that are safer, slower, and with little-to-no traffic through quiet residential neighborhoods.
GOING EAST towards the Biloxi Lighthouse
FATHER RYAN AVENUE (see video)
This brings you past the Biloxi Natatorium (indoor pool) and Savarro Park and ends at the Biloxi Lighthouse on the Beach.
START YOUR JOURNEY EAST by taking Leggett Drive (see photo) through the Methodist Campground to its end. Turn north, then turn right onto Father Ryan Avenue.
At the end of Father Ryan Avenue, keep going past a mostly unused White Avenue (4 lanes), former main entrance to Keesler Air Force Base. You will enter the Old Biloxi Cemetery then meander south to the Beach again and end up a few blocks west of the Biloxi Lighthouse, Lighthouse Park, and the Biloxi Visitor's Center (restrooms/water) open daily 8am to 5pm.
EAST SIDE of Seashore Oaks - Leggett Drive
Leggett Drive is a public street and fully legal to walk or bike thru so long as you stay on the street.
THE BARRIER YOU SEE was not meant to keep you out, but was meant to keep those on the public street from coming in.
GOING WEST towards Miramar Park, West Beach Boardwalk, the Biloxi Strip, and on towards Edgewater Mall
START YOUR JOURNEY WEST through the West Parking Lot that will take you directly unto Wilkes Avenue. Head 4 blocks west to St. Charles Avenue. From there...
GO SOUTH TO THE BEACH from St. Charles to the sidewalk on Beach Blvd, 2 blocks further on the Beach (north side of hwy) is Miramar Park, and another 2 blocks on the Beach (south side of hwy) are public restrooms and rest area. This is also the starting point for the West Beach Boardwalk (see video above).
or DO THE LOOPS - Infinite Possibilities: There are two east-west 'inner' back roads through this neighborhood that will take you as far as St. Charles Avenue. You can easily loop around in multiple patterns to create your own 'endless loop.'
CONNECT the EAST & WEST BACK ROADS
You can LOOP AROUND TO THE NORTH side of Seashore Oaks through the School to connect to Father Ryan Avenue.
YOU CAN ALSO DRIVE TO or TAKE THE BUS to nearby cities. Every bus has bikes racks on the front, so you can "Bike & Bus" at no extra charge. See Coast Transit Bus Info Here. Maximum width for Bike Tires on the Bus Rack are 2.15 inches. Once you've seen it done (watch quick video) you'll see for yourself how easy it is to load your bike on the front of Coast Transit buses.
